Best educational websites for your Kids ?

As Indians we are all very serious about the education of our Kids. With the free availability of a number of devices in the hands of kids now, its very easy that kids might watch content that has only entertainment involved and they might not learn much from it. There are plenty of good websites on the web where the kids can not only have fun but they can also learn a lot at the same time. Some of the best educational websites present on the web are

 1. Starfall - They have plenty of games for the kids, but all the games have some educational value in them. Mostly this site helps kids to learn to read using phonics. Lots of small games that teach kids how to read.

 2. Exploratorium -  Exploratorium is science and arts museum in San Francisco’s and this is their website. It has a plethora of resources for the kids. A very interesting site specially if you are interested in learning various science topics , or arts. There are lots of pages based on your age (e.g for teen or for small kids). There are lots of pages that show activities that parents can do with their small kids so as to teach them concepts of science or arts. A very interesting and very different website.

 3. The Kidz Page -  Similar to Starfall with plenty of games for young kids (mostly of educational value). It has lots of coloring pages and puzzles as well.

 4. Scholastic -  Plenty of resources for the kids including printables, games, puzzles etc.

 5. Kids Know It -  Want to teach your kids about the solar system  try their interactive solar system here http://www.kidsastronomy.com/solar_system.htm . Its a very different and excellent website that can teach topics like Fish, Fossils, How telescopes work. Best of all its completely free, this kind of information is even difficult to find in books these days where everything is related to the course at hand.

6. Nick Jr - Even though its a TV serials website, but it has loads of educational content including printables, worksheets etc.

 7. PBSkids - Similar to nickjr website this also has lot of educational printables, games etc.
