The bright future of software (my personal views)

Some wise man once said that in the case of Software industry the future is going to be so bright that we would require a pair of polaroid sun glasses to look through it. It is very true.  I have been reading a lot about software industry for a few years and these are some of my predictions

1) NewsPapers would still exist but not in paper form, rather we would mostly read news over tablets. And thereby newspaper industry would start making money again.

2) Kids won't take a big bag of books to school, rather a single notepad would be enough to store may be a 1000+ books or more, to take down notes. Who knows there school might given them one for free.

3) Mobile would and is becoming as powerful as a computer.

4) A lot of UI driven software would be replaced by Voice driven software - follow SIRI on Iphone :)

5)  Like it or not but a lot of your stuff would be stored on the Cloud.

6) There would be plenty of companies working to protect your data on the cloud.

7) More automation would happen, almost in every industry. Who knows one day instead of going to a doctor you might fed your symtoms or medical tests to a computer (or somebody might do it for you) and the computer would scan thousands of analytical data to find out your disease.

8) 3D games would become more popular.

9) 3D chat would become a very popular form of communication. Where instead of an image the whole body might be projected using a laser. This idea is not mine though, it is of my friend who works for IBM.

6) Online Video would exist and would be widely popular because it would be available everywhere. Web episodes would be made that would only be displayed through the online video. Films would be made that would only be released on online.

7) Porn - it would exist and it would be still be a big industry on the web online

8)  Due to the plethora of information available on the web. A lot of analytical data products would imerge, that would scan through the data and return valuable results. Maybe another search engine, or something else.

Please suggest some of your ideas as well and i would include them here.
